The Hualālai ‘Ohana Foundation Honor Roll Award Ceremony recognizes and rewards all outstanding middle and high school students of the Hualālai‘ Ohana, in both private and public schools.

HONOR ROLL APPLICATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN SUMMER OF 2017.
Our mission is to recognize and reward all outstanding middle and high school students of the Hualālai‘ Ohana, in both private and public schools. To recognize and reward all outstanding middle and high school students of the Hualālai‘ Ohana, in both private and public schools and to create a relationship to encourage participation in our Higher Education Scholarship program.
In June, parents submit an application form, along with a copy of their child(ren)’s grades. An award ceremony is held in the Four Season’s ballroom and students are invited to bring up to 6 family guests. Refreshments are provided in a fun, teen-theme atmosphere, where the students are honored and presented with a certificate suitable for framing, along with a cash award of $150.00 (for students in 6th-8th grades) or $250.00 (for students in 9th – 12th grades). In addition, all awardees that attend the ceremony are entered in a drawing for a brand new MacBook laptop or Ipad Mini.
Hualālai community employees* who have worked on the property for at least 90 days and work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible. There is no income restriction for this award category.
Employee’s child, legal stepchild or legally adopted child enrolled in a public, private, or charter school; in the 6th through 12th grades and; meeting a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the end of the school year. Employees who are not parents of children they are applying for must provide documentation of legal guardianship. Grandchildren are not eligible unless they have been legally adopted. Home-school education is not eligible for the Honor Roll Award.
